Remix It Like You Stole It Competition

Grab the stems and REMIX IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT for a chance to have your track featured in the upcoming DRINK THE SEA Remix Album and have your music promoted by The Glitch Mob.

The Glitch Mob will celebrate the release in Fall 2010 during the band’s  25+ show US tour. Proceeds from the sale of the release through Download to Donate for Haiti v2.0 will benefit  Music For Relief’s Haiti Earthquake Recovery, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters and disaster prevention.

Step 1: Read and agree to the Official Contest Rules.

Step 2: Download the “Drive It Like You Stole It” stems:

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS HAS BEEN REACHED

Step 3: Use the audio material provided and your own software or instruments, or add your own vocals to create your remix. Remixes using uncleared material or containing inappropriate content will be disqualified.

Step 4: Join and upload your remix to the “Remix Like You Stole It” group on Soundcloud and share your track with the public before midnight PST August 20, 2010. “The Glitch Mob – Drive It Like You Stole It” must be included in your remix title.

SUBMIT YOUR TRACKTwo winners will be selected. Get the most “favorites” on Soundcloud to win the popular vote, or be selected by The Glitch Mob’s private panel of judges to become the Mob’s Pick. Voting will occur from August 20th to August 27th at 5pm PST, as listed in the official contest rules. The winners will be announced on September 1st, 2010.

Inclusion on the DRINK THE SEA Remix Album to be sold through DownloadToDonate.org in benefit of Music For Relief’s Haiti Earthquake Recovery.

  • Hey guys. Sorry for the confusion. All votes count. With the deadline to submit on August 20th, the extra week gives the band time to review all the entries, as well as a week to enlist help from fans to heart their favs.

    He/she who has the most legitimate favorites on Soundcloud on August 27th at 5pm PST will win the popular vote.

  • it seems there was some mixup. While the voting starts today and previous votes count, whoever posted a remix earlier than others will have more votes probably. Ok I'm going back to school to learn some more english but maybe you know what I mean :D
  • it's a pity that only one will be picked and one will be favorited, there are at least a dozen genious tracks in the pool, there should be some extra rewards given like "the most creative", "the sickest" and things like that. Just a post on the website maybe, just for fun and to get some review from the masters :D
